Last week we launched our photo competition.  This is the first of what we hope will be an annual event.  Entries close on 1 October.  The top twelve entries will feature in the 2012 Youthcare Hervey Bay calendar.

Next Tuesday night is Census Night.  The census gives a snapshot of the nation.  On the night of the last census in August 2006 there were 105,000 people homeless in Australia.   Since that time the Federal Government has prioritised the issue but we have seen a sharp financial downturn so it will be interesting to see where the figures go.

Youthcare’s AGM is on 28 September at the Boat Club.  This will be organisation 21^st AGM.  We have come a long way since 1990 and continue to serve the Fraser Coast community in a professional and caring capacity.
