These housing options are to accommodate people who are on low incomes. You will need to apply for housing assistance with the Department of Housing through a single application process called the ‘One Social Housing System’. You will be referred to Youthcare from the Department of Housing. Youthcare will interview a selection of housing applicants that the Department of Housing refers. If successful, initially you will be offered a three month fixed term lease. If everything works out OK you will be offered a 12 month lease to be reviewed yearly. You will be required to either pay the bond due or apply to the Department of Housing to access a Bond Loan. This accommodation is unfurnished so you will need to provide your own furnishings.
